No. Your speech is transcribed entirely on your iPhone. The audio itself is never uploaded, and by default isn't even kept on your device after the session ends.
Only text — never audio — and only after you agree to it in the app. When on-device scoring isn't available, Rehearse asks first, then sends your answer text plus the interview question, your role and (only if you added them) your job posting or résumé text to Google's Gemini AI to generate that one response — Google may use that text to improve its products, and human reviewers may read it, so keep sensitive details out. The optional code-run feature sends your code to the Piston service, again only after you agree. Turn on "On-device only" in Settings to keep scoring on your iPhone.
